Bella's speech has just gotten so good so quickly. She really can articulate things so well now and it really has helped to lessen tantrums I think.
Today we ate at Chik-Fil-A as a special treat on our way to a Christmas Light display. She saw the indoor playground there and said "Mommy, after I eat my chicken, I go play on the playground okay?" I tried to explain that it is for bigger kids and she is still a little too small for it, but she just said so sweetly "I big girl too mommy. I can try." Because she really was determined to "try" let her try one time and she climbed all the way to the top, but was leery of the slide. When I said "Okay Bella, it's time to go…." She said "Okay! I coming." and she did…. Sometimes she surprises me.
She has figured out some unique ways to prolong bedtime recently… After one of us leaves her room, we'll hear on the monitor "Mommy! Daddy! C'Mere…" and one of us will go in and she'll say something like "Mommy, Tuck Minnie in…." (meaning… her minnie mouse doll…. *eye roll*)…. and then she'll say "I gotta go pee"…. so we go to the bathroom and she sits on the potty, fully aware of her success in prolonging bedtime, and she says "Mommy, why's your face look mad?"…
