Updates

Juliet - 7 weeks
Juliet is a smiley little girl!  It is so fun to see her personality start to come out.  She can stare at you for longer periods of time now and can really control those smiling muscles now!  She is starting to coo a lot more too when she is happy.  She is a pretty easy going baby.  She has been sleeping much better too.  The last few nights she has only been waking up once to eat at 3 a.m.  She has been doing some nice long stretches of sleep at night!  She is still sleeping in our room for the time being.  She sleeps in a pack n play beside our bed.  I'm guessing she weighs around 11 lbs based on my own estimates, but I'm not really sure...

Bella - 25 months
Bella is a handful!  She is just into everything and never sits still.  She loves to sing and dance.  Her favorite show is the Fresh Beat Band and we have seen each episode a million times.  Bella knows all the songs (heh, we all do...) and sings them even when we are not watching it.  Today she was belting it out in the car on the way home from Wal-mart.  Bella just seemed to have a little growth spurt as she was eating and sleeping like crazy.  Her hair has gotten so much longer and can be pulled back into a pony tail now so she really looks like a little girl and not at all like a baby!  2T clothes are fitting perfectly right now and she is wearing a size 6 shoe.

Bella is working on potty training.  She has had several "hits" per day on her potty, but still has some wet diapers here and there.  She asks to go potty all the time though and we are definitely making progress.  As you can see, she also likes to dance ON her potty.

Mid July

Here are some random pictures of the girls from the past few weeks.

Happy 1 month, Juliet!

Can't believe she is already a month old!  I am writing this at nearly 3 a.m. and can say that this little girl has not mastered sleeping through the night yet!  She is inconsistent night to night with some nights being much better than others.  We have started to see some little social smiles from her although she has not mastered them yet. She eats constantly and is definitely growing. While I haven't weighed her, her clothes are getting tighter and she looks like she is filling out.  She can track movement with her eyes for short periods of time.    

It's funny the differences between my 2 kiddos.  Juliet loves to be held up against your chest and goes to sleep easily like this. Bella used to hate that and always wanted to be facing out so she could see what was going on. Juliet has lighter, more sensitive skin and lighter hair than Bella's. It looks like she will have blue eyes while Bella's are dark brown. She likes to be held while she sleeps and I'm trying to get her more used to sleeping without being held... For my own sanity!  Bella was a better sleeper for sure!

It's been a busy, sleepless month but it has been fun to get to know Juliet better!  We are so glad she is here!
