Well, it's my 3rd day off school due to the hurricane. Bella and I have already done our trip to Starbucks and played with our musical toys and light up toys. So, what better time than to dress her up in something cute and take some pictures, right? Luckily, she is more photogenic than me and doesn't seem to mind getting her picture taken.... yet.

Bella at 10 weeks
The first few pictures are Bella with a toy that my friend Andrea gave her. It plays music and lights up and she smiles and coos at it. :)
This is Bella on Saturday morning as we waited for Irene...
Hurricane Irene
Not a fun storm to endure, but we are all okay! We lucked out in that we didn't flood and the trees behind us did not fall and land on the house. Our power was out for about 12+ hours, but many are still without power... Tomorrow we'll be going on our 3rd day without school.

New routines!
I think we are all doing well with our new routines. Last year I could wake up for work at 7 and still be on time. Now, *someone* is waking me up shortly after 5 every morning... She doesn't go to daycare until 8, but it gives us some time together every morning before work, which is nice. The weekdays are so busy though. It feels like as soon as we get home from work, we eat, and then its time to give the baby a bath and put her to bed.... so we really look forward to weekends now.
Yesterday, Bella experienced her first Earthquake. Anne, our daycare provider, said she slept right through it. Anthony said it's ironic because her own farts wake her up in the middle of the night...
It's too early in the morning to leave the house!!
I love this new toy!
Dad even fixed the lights and music so it's even cooler now!
Mom likes this outfit on me. I was kicking too much for her to get a good picture though.
Mom had her first day of school with kids today. I was already back asleep before we even left the house.... and I let her have 9 hours of sleep last night (with one feeding in the middle, of course).
I think I really got these smiling motor skills under control now!

1st Time in the Pool!
We went to Cove Point Pool this afternoon. It's across the bridge in Lusby, about 15-20 minutes away. It's a really nice place! There were shady areas to sit and swim so it was nice for Bella and Anthony (I prefer the sun!) Bella liked the water alright... just her feet anyway!

First Day at Daycare
Yesterday was Bella's first day at daycare. She had a pleasant day and I made it out without crying. I missed her all day, but it was nice to see co-workers and have these professional days to get ready for the students' arrival on Wednesday. She napped and ate well at daycare and then had a TERRIFIC night of sleep afterwards (over 7 hours, then up to eat, and then back down for another couple hours)! I think she was tuckered out! We were so lucky to find a home daycare provider that we really like. It makes going to work a little easier knowing that she is in such good hands!
Playtime!

1st Pittsburgh visit
Bella had her first successful journey to Pittsburgh. We were so nervous about how she would do in the car, but she was a champ! She slept most the way and when she was awake, she was pretty happy. She got to meet some of her family that she hasn't met yet! It was a short trip but a good test run for future visits.
Bella also had a 2 month doctor visit today! She was in the 32nd percentile for weight and 90th percentile for height. She is growing right on track. She did get one shot and one oral vaccine, but she didn't scream too long and was just fine by the time we left. It wasn't nearly as bad as I expected! Thank goodness.
Bella is so interested in mobiles, lights, and fans! They can hold her attention for awhile!
